The Weight Loss Challenge was launched as part of our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) efforts to promote healthier lifestyles among employees, aligning personal wellness with our broader sustainability goals. Running from 22 July to 30 August, this initiative saw 54 participants collectively lose 41.9% body fat and an impressive 127.8 kg in weight. The challenge not only aimed to improve health but also fostered a sense of responsibility toward building a sustainable future.
On October 12, 2024, Ancom Nylex Berhad and its subsidiaries united for their first-ever environmental initiative, a beach clean-up at Pantai Kelanang, removing 260 kg of waste in just one hour. This event, part of their broader ESG efforts, showcased their commitment to environmental stewardship and the power of collective action in addressing coastal pollution. With 47 dedicated volunteers, the clean-up not only improved the beach’s condition but also highlighted the group’s dedication to driving real change for a sustainable future through meaningful, eco-conscious efforts.

August 24, 2024 marked a special day at Taman Botani Shah Alam, where a meaningful effort to give back to nature came to life. Organized in collaboration between Ancom Crop Care Sdn Bhd (ACC) and Kelab Sukan Ancom (KESRA), the event brought together 30 enthusiastic staff members with a shared goal—giving back to nature through tree planting.
The day began with a short but informative session on the importance of trees and the correct planting methods to ensure healthy growth. Energized by this knowledge, participants worked hand in hand to plant 200 Pandanus Veitchii trees, each one a small but powerful contribution toward a healthier and more resilient environment.
Beyond improving air quality and supporting local biodiversity, the effort also served to strengthen bonds among colleagues. It offered a hands-on opportunity to reflect on the role each of us plays in caring for the planet. On December 20, 2024, the ESG team visited Pertubuhan Rumah Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Home of Peace to spread the joy of Christmas and make a meaningful difference in the lives of its young residents.
Home of Peace is a safe haven for 10 children, aged from 11 months to 18 years, cared for by four dedicated caretakers. The children, many of whom come from underprivileged backgrounds, broken homes, or have been abandoned, inspire hope and resilience in the face of adversity.
In the spirit of Christmas, we fulfilled the children’s carefully crafted wishlists. From toys and books to clothing and other necessities, the gifts brought smiles to their faces, reminding us of the importance of giving back. At the heart of our ESG efforts is the belief that compassion and care can transform lives. As we celebrate this festive season, let us continue to share the spirit of giving, kindness, and hope-values that resonate far beyond the holiday season.
On January 14 and 17, 2025, we hosted our very first ESG KPI Workshop with representatives from all our subsidiaries. It was an exciting milestone that brought together CEOs, COOs, and operations leads to align on our ESG direction and commitments. Held in person, the workshop created a great platform for face-to-face discussions, honest sharing, and practical collaboration.
The agenda covered three key areas: understanding what ESG KPIs and targets really mean, exploring industry examples and how others are approaching sustainability, and engaging in hands-on workbook exercises and group discussions. These sessions encouraged active participation and gave everyone a chance to reflect on how ESG ties into their day-to-day operations.
This workshop was an important step in strengthening our ESG strategy, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations, and working together toward measurable, lasting change. We are proud of the engagement shown and excited for what’s to come as we continue on our sustainability journey.
On February 15, 2025, 43 volunteers from Ancom Nylex Berhad and its subsidiaries traded their office attire for boots and gloves as they stepped into the mangroves of Taman Rekreasi Paya Bakau Kampung Sijangkang. With muddy hands and full hearts, they planted 100 mangrove saplings, each one a living promise to protect the planet.
Mangroves are more than just trees. They are life-giving ecosystems that defend shorelines, filter water, support wildlife, and absorb harmful carbon emissions. But on that day, the planting was about more than chemical science, it was about connection: to nature, to teamwork, and to a shared purpose.
The atmosphere was filled with laughter and camaraderie as volunteers dug side by side, driven by the knowledge that small actions can lead to big change. Every sapling planted was a symbol of ANB’s ongoing sustainability journey—deeply rooted and growing stronger with time.
